I have listened to this book 6 times, and it is still fun, fresh, educational and hilarious. Peter Mayle's writing is excellent, his wit crackling, and his research more than diligent.
Narrator Simon Jones is absolutely excellent. I wish he narrated Mayle's other books. As a professional food writer myself, I cannot recommend this book highly.
